Ever since I was a kid, I knew I wanted to work in video. I loved watching movies and was always fascinated by the art. I began shooting short videos with friends in high school, and eventually decided to pursue it in college.

 

After graduating from James Madison University, with a degree in Digital Video and Cinema, I worked a number of different jobs with titles such as: production assistant, production coordinator, studio manager, videographer/editor, etc. These various experiences have given me a ton of invaluable knowledge of how complex the video production process truly is. 

 

All of those different jobs involved me working in every facet of the video production process (pre-production, physical production, and post-production). This has given me keen insight and knowledge of how a successful production should be run, from the inception of an idea/concept, to the finishing touches made in the editing room. These skills have made me a valuable component when working on a production in any phase of the process. My goal has been to use that experience to help an individual/company grow and achieve their goals.

 

Recently I’ve been working as a freelance video producer, where I’m contracted by various clients to shoot and edit projects for them. The type of content I create and produce varies greatly depending on the client – from product/service marketing videos, to cutting movie trailers. There isn’t a specific category of video that I’m not comfortable with tackling.

 

At the heart of it, I love telling stories and creating a connection with people through my work; producing video allows me to do just that. It doesn’t matter whether I’m helping an artist promote his/her work, or a business owner market their product/service – I give the same love and attention to detail regardless of what I’m creating.
